Damjan started dancing at the age of 13 in native Croatia, and it was love at first sight.

Taking jazz and street classes, he was guided to learn the importance of technique and groove, whilst developing his personal style. Soon after, he joined the local ballet school, learning Vaganova method.

In 2016, Damjan graduated from The Urdang Academy, earning a National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. Throughout his training, he was taught by established professionals such as Nathan Clarke, Nika Kljun, Sisco Gomez, Shaun Niles, Misha Gabriel, Brian Friedman, and Dean Lee.

Professional credits include: Kill Your Friends (film by Owen Harris), Aladdin: The Magical Pantomime Adventure (New Theatre, Cardiff) and P&O.
