
AISTD DDI – Tap Teacher.
Alison began dancing at the age of 2 at the Barrett Smith School of Dance in Royston. Here she was given the opportunity to compete in local dance competitions being awarded numerous trophies across all genres, This enabled Alison to progress to National Finals at the All England Dance Competition. This secured a lifelong passion for dance with tap being a true speciality.
Alison began her vocational training at the Penny Meekings Teacher Training College where she completed examinations in Advanced 2 as well as 4 ISTD Associate teaching qualifications in Tap, Modern, Ballet and National.
Alison has extensive knowledge and qualifications working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) placing great importance on nurturing a love of dance by creating an inclusive and supportive environment so that all students feel valued, inspired and able to reach their full potential.
